Ok I missed your whole family page lol. Awww your son’s nickname is Bean. Have you read Ender’s Game? One of the main character’s names is Bean.
Oh and you suck for having 500 hits in less than two weeks lol. That’s rude. It takes me a month to get that many, and only on a good month.
ha yeah his nickname started out as “juju bean” but that was too long so now we either call him juju or bean lol…..my daughter’s is long lol- vayda potata….I haven’t heard of that story..
and actually it’s approaching 800 but hey- WHO’S COUNTING lol- I know this will definitely not last—–it’s high because in one day I got like 215 views for some reason, but it’s been slowly dropping since then….. oh well. I would continue to blog if absolutely no one read- blogging is my sanity condensed into a computer screen lol.
*glares at you for a few seconds* yes? Who IS counting there hmmm? Lol but seriously that’s exciting. And I agree, I don’t know what I’d do without this blog. Actually I started writing a book where every chapter was basically a blog post.
Stop it! That was MY idea! LOL- i’ve been talking for years about writing a “book of blogs” lol- i’m never gonna do it though- I don’t have patience for writing a book…….
I started writing a book over four years ago. I’m still not anywhere near finished and it’s not about anything important but it’s fun when I’ve got nothing better to do.
Man- I am too much of a perfectionist. If it’s not perfect- I won’t even try. That’s why I like the blog because I feel like I don’t have to try at all lol- it’s complicated haha. But hey good for you;-p
I’m only a perfectionist sometimes. Other times I couldn’t care less hahahaha.

And I have to say, I am envious that you mentioned music on your blog that I have never heard of lol…… I am like the music queen over here- my fiance always comes to me when a new song comes out, “Hey Kristi- who originally did that beat?”……….And I am right like everytime. I have skills lol.
You can probably tell that neo soul and hip hop are my 2 big loves in music so if there is anything you need to know, I’m your man. I’ve been experimenting with jazz and rock for a while so I think I can listen to anything (that isn’t garbage) outside of opera and trance.
What’s an example of neo soul? (can’t believe I am asking you that) LOL. I listen to all of it. I used to mainly listen to rap, r&b and reggae but as I got older I learned to appreciate all music. All sorts of oldies and 80′s music, classic rock, punk……all of it really, I dunno I don’t really like country but I can listen to it without ripping my hair out- there are even several songs I actually like that my dad used to sing. I think people who listen to all forms of music are orginal and should be considered leaders- they don’t follow trends or only listen to things their peers listen to, ya know?
Exactly. In terms of neo soul, the best examples would be Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, Erykah Badu and Robin Thicke. The genre seems to be dying out due to the shift to synth beats and the over-production on songs by the likes of Ne-Yo and Rhianna. I actually like some modern r&b but it’s a farcry from the soul music of the 60s and 70s. I may be a child of 1984 but I still love zoning out to Al Green, Marvin Gaye and almost anything from Motown.

Ah I see- all of which I like (well, except robin thicke)…..and don’t get me started on motown- my best memories as a child was waking up to my parents cleaning blasting their motown cd’s, dancing around in the kitchen. I have turned into my parents because usually when I clean now I am listening to oldies……I’m also a child of 84 lol but I think I should have been born much sooner. Me and my fiance were talking about this the other night. I used to love rap but I don’t even really listen to it anymore because it makes absolutely no sense. I am not the type of person that can ride out to a song with wack lyrics over a good beat. So if I am even listening to rap now it’s usually from the 94-97 era…. and as far as r&b? It started dying in 2002 imo….. some good songs survived but for the most part it’s bogus….

I’m always singing about how I’d love to have been around during the 60s and 70s. Damn my parents for having all the luck. Rap music as well, eh? For me, it’s the late 80s to the end of the 90s. Modern hiphop has died but I still get giddy whenever Mos Def drops an album and I’m a big fan of The Roots. I have found myself getting into current rap (i.e. Wale and Kid Cudi) and although they will never rival Slick Rick or early Nas, I do find them entertaining.
Yeah- you have my taste;-p I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mos Def! “It’s like one two three, mos def and talib kweli-i-i- we came to rock it on through the tick tock, best alliance in hip hop- wyyyohhhh” OR—”Why did one straw break the camel’s back here’s the secret- a million other straws underneath it- it’s all mathmatics” ;-p Luv it. I was actually listening to all the old mos def, wu-tang, roots, etc the other day while cleaning…. haven’t listened in a while. As for the old music oh man, you can’t get me started- I love all of it. I just love music, period. Hence, the ankle tatto;-p It’s hard to find people who have a true appreciation for all forms, not just one genre.

I actually know NOTHING about CSS lol. The theme I have allows you to change a few colors around and add the custom banner. As for the other stuff- they are just pictures I made on photoshop. All of them are jpg’s;-p Thank you for stopping by! I enjoyed your blog as well;-p

Thanks Jamie;-p I miss your feedback lol. I am trying to figure out a way to move my old posts from myspace over here so I have a better way to archive them. This blog needs a SERIOUS update but it’s actually way easier to navigate than the old one on myspace. Like if you go to the “old news” section, all of my posts are archived by title there. But soon enough I am gonna re-do the look of this thing lol.

I’ve been thinking about creating a Blog. If you had to do anything different now, what would it be and where? You’ve done a great job with yours so keep up the hard work!
Steve- if I could do things differently it would be to not over think it lol. I put a lot of effort (believe it or not) into the aesthetics of my blog at first and started projects that I honestly don’t have time to finish so it just defeated the purpose of my blog. So now, I don’t even care how it looks, I just love to write. It’s become my own online journal and I like being able to scroll back through posts to see how different life was. So I would suggest, just to get a blog going, just create one from a ready-made template and don’t worry too much about the design, then later if you have time make small changes here and there. Don’t over think it, designs are fun but content is better;-p If you decide to create one, send me the link!
